How it works
- 1
Share the quarter's data
After the quarter ends, send your payments, challans and deductee details. A simple spreadsheet is fine.
- 2
Checks
We verify PANs, match challans to payments, and check rates, section codes and lower deduction certificates.
- 3
Prepare and file
We prepare the statement, validate it with the official utility and upload it on the e-filing portal.
- 4
Certificates
Once TRACES processes the statement, we download the certificates and send them to you to sign and issue.
- 5
Defaults and corrections
If TRACES reports a default, we explain it, help you pay or correct it, and file a correction statement.
The four statement types
TDS and TCS are reported each quarter in separate statements: one for salary, one for other payments to residents, one for payments to non-residents, and one for tax collected at source. Under the 1961 Act these are Forms 24Q, 26Q, 27Q and 27EQ, used for quarters up to the end of FY 2025-26 and for corrections to those years.
From the April–June 2026 quarter, statements follow the Income-tax Act, 2025 and the forms prescribed under it. Each statement does the same job, and we file whichever form applies to the period.
Why accuracy matters
Your employees and vendors get credit for the tax you deducted only through your statement. A wrong PAN, a mismatched challan or a missed entry means they don't see the credit, and you get a default notice.
Late filing brings a fee for each day of delay, and late deposit of TDS brings interest. Where a deductee has no valid PAN, tax is generally deducted at a higher rate. We check these before filing, not after the notice arrives.
Frequently asked questions
Who needs to file TDS returns?
Anyone with a TAN who deducts or collects tax at source: companies, LLPs, firms, and individuals or HUFs who are required to deduct. A statement is due for every quarter in which tax was deducted or collected.
What are the due dates?
Each quarter has its own due date, roughly a month after the quarter ends, with more time for the January–March quarter. We send you the dates for the year and remind you before each one.
Do I need a TAN to deduct TDS on rent or a property purchase?
Individuals who deduct TDS only on buying property from a resident, or on rent above a monthly limit, usually don't need a TAN. They pay and report it through a challan-cum-statement under their PAN. This service is for deductors who have a TAN.
A vendor says their TDS isn't showing in their tax credit statement. What can we do?
Usually the PAN, challan or amount in the statement is wrong, or the statement wasn't filed. We find the error from TRACES and file a correction. The credit shows once TRACES processes it.
Can you correct a statement someone else filed?
Yes. We download the filed data from TRACES and prepare a correction statement. Corrections for FY 2025-26 and earlier years use the 1961 Act forms.
We got a TRACES default notice. Is it final?
Not always. Many defaults come from wrong section codes, PAN errors or challans tagged to the wrong quarter, and a correction clears them. If the default is real, we work out the interest or fee and help you pay it.
