How it works

  1. 1

    Set up

We check your GST registration, return frequency and any pending filings, and set up your books.

  2. 2

    Monthly documents

You send the month's sales, purchases and bank statements by an agreed date.

  3. 3

    GST returns

We record the month, match purchases with GSTR-2B and file GSTR-1. Then we tell you the GST to pay and file GSTR-3B once it's paid.

  4. 4

    Advance tax

Before each advance tax due date, we estimate your income for the year and tell you what to pay.

  5. 5

    Year-end and income tax return

We close the books, prepare the profit and loss account and balance sheet, and file your income tax return.

What a proprietor has to file

A sole proprietorship isn't a separate legal entity, so the business's income is taxed in the proprietor's own return. If you're registered under GST, you file returns every month, or every quarter under the QRMP scheme if your turnover qualifies. Your books need to support both the GST returns and the income tax return.

Depending on your turnover and the payments you make, TDS may apply too. We tell you if it does; TDS returns are a separate service.

Presumptive tax or full books?

Small businesses and professionals can choose presumptive taxation, where income is declared at a set percentage of turnover or receipts, within limits set by the law. Others are taxed on actual profit from full books. Which suits you depends on your margins and turnover, and moving between the two affects later years.

We look at your numbers in the first month and recommend one. Either way, we keep proper books, because GST returns and lenders need them.

Frequently asked questions

Does this include the GST annual return?

Not in this package. Whether it's compulsory depends on your turnover; we tell you and quote it separately if it applies.

What if I'm not registered under GST?

Then you don't file GST returns, and our business income tax return service may suit you better. If your turnover is nearing the registration limit, we'll tell you.

What if I have more than 100 entries a month?

We quote for your volume, or suggest our retainership.

Is a tax audit included?

No. If your turnover crosses the tax audit limit, the audit is quoted separately and done through our associated auditors.

Can I start in the middle of the year?

Yes. The package runs for 12 months from the month you start. If returns for earlier months are pending, we file them first and quote for them separately.

Which Income-tax Act will my return be under?

Returns for the year ended 31 March 2026 are filed under the Income-tax Act, 1961. From tax year 2026-27, the Income-tax Act, 2025 applies. We file under whichever applies to your year.
