How it works
- 1
Share your documents
Send us your Form 16, statements and proofs. With your consent, we download your AIS and tax credit statement from the portal.
- 2
We prepare the return
A CA works out your income, matches it with the AIS, compares the two tax regimes and picks the right ITR form.
- 3
You review and approve
We send you a computation showing income, deductions, tax and refund. We file only after you approve it.
- 4
Filing and e-verification
We file the return and help you e-verify it with an Aadhaar OTP or net banking. A return isn't complete until it's verified.
- 5
After filing
We track processing, explain the intimation the department sends, and follow up on your refund.
Which ITR form applies to you
For FY 2025-26, returns are filed under the Income-tax Act, 1961 on its ITR forms. ITR-1 (Sahaj) suits resident individuals with simple salary, house property and interest income, within an income limit. ITR-2 covers capital gains, foreign assets and NRIs, and ITR-3 is for business or professional income.
Filing on the wrong form can bring a defective return notice. We choose the form from your actual income for the year, not from last year's return.
Old or new tax regime
The new regime is the default. It has lower slab rates but allows few deductions, so you give up most deductions for investments, insurance, HRA and home loan interest on a self-occupied house. The old regime keeps those deductions, at higher rates.
If you don't have business income, you can choose afresh each year, but for FY 2025-26 the old regime is available only in a return filed by the due date. With business income, switching is restricted, so the choice needs more care. We work out your tax both ways before filing.
The Income-tax Act, 2025
From 1 April 2026, the Income-tax Act, 2025 replaced the 1961 Act. It uses a single tax year in place of the previous year and assessment year, and renumbers sections and some forms. Returns for FY 2025-26, filed in 2026, still follow the 1961 Act.
Your first return under the new Act will be for tax year 2026-27, filed in 2027. Your salary certificate, tax statements and return form may carry new names or numbers, but the work stays the same: report all your income, claim what you're allowed and pay any tax due.
Frequently asked questions
What's the due date for filing my return?
It depends on whether your accounts need an audit, and the government can extend it in a given year. Salaried people without a business usually have until 31 July. Filing late means a late fee, interest on any tax due and, for FY 2025-26, losing the option of the old regime and of carrying forward most losses.
Do I need to file if my income is below the taxable limit?
Not always, but in some cases you must file anyway, for example if you hold foreign assets or cross certain spending or deposit limits. Filing is also the only way to get back TDS deducted from your income, and a filed return helps with loans and visa applications.
I missed the due date. Can I still file?
Yes. A belated return can be filed within the time the law allows, with a late fee. If that time has also passed, an updated return may still be possible if you pay additional tax, though it can't be used to claim a refund or report a loss.
I changed jobs and have two Form 16s. What should I do?
Send us both. Unless you told your new employer about your earlier salary, each employer works out TDS as if it were your only job, so tax is often short-deducted. We combine the income, work out any tax still due and include it before filing.
What if my AIS shows income I didn't earn?
The AIS is built from reports by banks, employers and others, and it can have errors or duplicates. We give feedback on the wrong entries on the portal and file on the correct figures, keeping your proof on record.
When will I get my refund?
The department issues refunds after it processes the return, so we can't promise a date. The refund goes only to a bank account that is pre-validated on the e-filing portal and linked to your PAN, and we check this before filing.
Can you file for an NRI?
Yes. NRIs file for income earned or received in India, such as rent, interest, dividends and capital gains. We check your residential status from your days in India, claim treaty rates where they apply and claim refunds of excess TDS, which is common after a property sale.
