Digital Signature Certificate or DSC is the digital version of your signature issued by licensed Certifying Authority. Digital Signature is legally binding. Digital Signature Certificate is commonly used to sign documents for MCA e-filing, Income Tax e-filing, Form 16, Patent & Trademark e-filing, e-Tendering, LLP Registration, Company Registration, Custom e-filing, e-Procurement, GST Application, IE Code Registration, e-Bidding, e-Auction, DGFT etc.
Which class of DSC to buy?
From the year 2021 onwards, usage of Class 2 DSC has been discontinued and Class 3 Digital signature (DSC) has been made mandatory for all the use-cases involving both individuals and organizations, therefore now you can buy only a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate and use it for all your e-signature needs. It means we don’t have any choice and use only class-3.

My DSC has expired, how to renew?
Once a DSC (Digital Signature) has expired, you cannot sign new document. Digital Signature is required to renew to continue signing documents.
The renewal process is exactly same as buying a new Digital Signature. The only difference is that, there is no need to buy another USB token/dongle. DSC is issued with validity of 2 years.
Which documents are required?
Your PAN, Aadhar, Photo, Email & Phone number is only required to create your DSC.
What is ePass Token or Dongle?
An ePass2003-Auto is used to store Digital Signature. It is commonly referred as token or dongle. As a secure storage device designed to provide strong authentication, it helps to protect sensitive data such as Digital Signature.
Cryptographic tokens are different from normal USB thumb drive. ePass2003 provides FIPS 140-2 security levels. ProxKey and Alladin tokens can also be used to store DSC.
Retail price of ePass2003-Auto varies between Rs.300 to Rs.500. Multiple Digital Signature Certificates can be stored in one token/dongle.
What is eKYC for DSC?
In the DSC application, every applicant needs to do self e-KYC video. You don’t need to send physical documents anywhere.
You will be provided a KYC link, which will help you to upload e-KYC video. Also, our expert will be connected to you to help you at every stage.
How much time will it take to get new DSC or renew DSC?
